Our Flexible Truck Financing Options
We offer a variety of truck finance solutions in Australia, including
Chattel Mortgage
A Chattel Mortgage allows you to own your truck from day one while benefiting from tax advantages, including GST refunds and depreciation claims. With flexible repayment terms, this is an excellent choice for businesses that want asset ownership upfront.
Commercial Hire Purchase
This option enables you to hire the truck while making regular payments. Once the final payment is made, ownership is transferred to you. This finance structure suits businesses wanting structured repayments with potential tax deductions.
Truck Leasing
Leasing provides businesses with a cost-effective way to use high-quality trucks without the burden of ownership. Choose between finance leases, which give you the option to own the vehicle at the end of the term, or operating leases, which offer flexibility with lower commitments.
Low Doc Truck Loans
For self-employed individuals or businesses with minimal financial documentation, we offer Low Doc Truck Loans to help you secure financing without extensive paperwork.

Common questions
What counts as a service truck for finance?
Any truck fitted out to carry tools, parts and equipment to a job. That covers mechanics' and field service trucks, crane and tilt tray service bodies, welding and fitter trucks, tyre service units and mine site support vehicles. Lenders look at the completed unit, the cab chassis plus the body and equipment, rather than the chassis alone.
Can I finance the truck and the service body together?
Yes, and it is usually the simpler way to do it. The cab chassis and the service body are financed as one asset on one facility, with the total including the fit-out, crane, compressor, tooling and any compliance work. If the body is being built after purchase, the lender will normally settle against the completed invoice rather than the chassis on its own.
Can I finance a fit-out on a truck I already own?
Often yes. If the truck is owned outright, the fit-out can be financed on its own with the completed unit as security. If the truck still carries finance, the options are to refinance the truck and the fit-out into a single facility, or to arrange a separate facility over the equipment. Which suits depends on the existing contract and how much is owing.
Can I finance a used or ex-fleet service truck?
Yes. Used and ex-fleet service trucks are financed regularly. Lenders assess age, hours, condition and how specialised the body is, since a highly specialised unit can be harder to resell. Older units may need an inspection or valuation, and a deposit is more likely on high-hour vehicles.
What do I need to apply for service truck finance?
An active ABN, recent business bank statements and the supplier quote for the truck and the body. Depending on the amount and the lender you may also be asked for BAS lodgements or financials. Low-doc options assess the application on ABN, BAS and bank statements instead of full financials. Any signed service contracts the truck will work under can strengthen the application.
How much can I finance for a service truck?
Most truck facilities Equifund arranges fall between $95,000 and $620,000, and a fitted service truck usually sits in the middle of that range once the body and equipment are included. Smaller purchases from around $30,000 are still welcome. The amount depends on the unit, your trading history and your credit profile.
